What is Scroll?

Scroll is an EVM-equivalent Layer 2 blockchain, using zero-knowledge rollup technology to enable faster and more efficient transactions while still relying on the security of the Ethereum blockchain. Scroll aims at increasing throughput of transactions while keeping fees low for users, as zk-rollups are supposed to take significantly less time than optimistic rollups.
